Introduced·2/27/25
Introduced Text

Massachusetts H3830 amends the reimbursement timeline for cities and towns providing veterans' benefits.

Massachusetts H3830 changes the reimbursement timeline for cities and towns that provide veterans' benefits. It modifies the fourth sentence of section 6 of chapter 115 of the General Laws, replacing the current deadline of November 10th in the year after expenditures with a new deadline of no later than six months after the date on which such expenditures are certified by the secretary. This change aims to ensure more timely reimbursement for local governments supporting veterans. The act will take effect two years after it is enacted.
