Introduced·2/27/25
Introduced Text

Enhances public service pension equity for veterans in Massachusetts by adjusting their age for pension computation.

This bill amends the General Laws of Massachusetts to enhance pension equity for veterans. Specifically, it adds one additional calendar year to the age of a veteran for pension computation purposes. For veterans with a service-connected disability rating of 10 percent or more, it adds two additional calendar years to their age for pension computation. This adjustment aims to provide more equitable pension benefits for veterans who have served in the armed forces of the United States.
