This bill allows the Registrar of Motor Vehicles to accept partial payments for fines related to driver’s license suspension or revocation. The minimum monthly payment is set at $25.00. The registrar can accept payments via credit or debit card, check, or money order. A conditional reinstatement of the license or right to operate a motor vehicle can be issued upon receipt of the first payment if the person is otherwise qualified. The conditional reinstatement can be revoked if a required monthly payment is more than 30 days in arrears or if there is a violation of any motor vehicle law.
