Massachusetts H3714 creates distinctive license plates for Army combat veterans who have been awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge (Second Award), or Combat Action Badge. The plates will bear the words "COMBAT VETERAN" and a distinctive emblem identifying the branch of the armed services in which the owner served. Surviving spouses of deceased recipients can also retain these plates upon payment of the registration fee and an additional annual fee.
