The bill updates the requirements for obtaining a certified public accountant (CPA) license in Massachusetts. It allows individuals with a bachelor's degree and two years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with 30 additional semester hours and one year of experience, to qualify for a CPA license. It also permits those with a master's degree and one year of experience to qualify. The changes take effect on January 1, 2026, and upon passage of the act, respectively.
