Massachusetts H3486 amends municipal light plant emergency mutual aid provisions to allow equipment sales, rentals, and leases and ensure employee.

Massachusetts H3486 amends Section 133 of Chapter 164 of the General Laws to allow municipal lighting plants providing emergency mutual aid to sell, rent, or lease equipment, fixtures, and goods related to the provision of emergency mutual aid. It also ensures that employees of these plants are covered by the same rights and privileges as if they were performing duties within the scope of their employment, including voluntary assignments authorized by the employer.
