The CLEAN Act amends the definitions of "Beverage" and "Beverage container" in the General Laws, expanding the definition of "Beverage" to include soda water, mineral water, beer, and other malt beverages sold in miniatures. It also defines "Miniature" as a sealable bottle, can, jar, or carton with a capacity of not more than 100 milliliters, primarily composed of glass, metal, plastic, or a combination of those materials, and produced for containing an alcoholic beverage.
