Massachusetts H3261 proposes to increase fines for handicap parking violations by $450 to fund ADA compliance.

Massachusetts H3261 amends Chapter 40 of the General Laws to allow cities and towns to raise fines for handicap parking violations by $450. The additional funds will be directed to a special municipal account, used exclusively for implementing and ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) within the city or town. The city or town's commission on disabilities or a special commission will investigate local ADA needs.
