Massachusetts bill H3235 amends Chapter 60A of the General Laws to provide tax relief for low-income seniors and veterans. It exempts a motor vehicle owned and registered by a senior citizen over 65 with an annual income at or below the federal poverty guideline from excise tax. Similarly, it exempts a motor vehicle owned or leased by a veteran with an annual income at or below 100% of the federal poverty level. The exemption applies to one vehicle per individual for personal, noncommercial use.
