Introduced·2/27/25
Introduced Text

Massachusetts H2965 provides prescription drug cost reimbursements to elderly governmental retirees.

Massachusetts H2965 amends the General Laws to provide prescription drug cost reimbursements to elderly governmental retirees. Specifically, it entitles any retired employee age 70 or over who has been retired for 5 years to reimbursement from the State Retirees Benefits Trust Fund. This reimbursement is intended to reduce the cost of prescription drugs by at least 25% of any co-payment amount paid by the retiree. The reimbursement methodology will be established by the trustee of the fund in conjunction with participating municipalities.
