Provides a one-time opportunity for veterans to buy back service time for retirement benefits.

This bill amends the Massachusetts General Laws to allow veterans who failed to buy back service time within the required 180 days to make the purchase within one year of the bill's effective date. It applies to members in service who are veterans and provides a one-time opportunity to apply to the retirement system for this service buyback. The bill also includes provisions for written notice to all members in service about their potential eligibility for this purchase.
