The bill authorizes Thomas Struthers, an employee of Shawsheen Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School, to purchase 3 years of creditable service from the Massachusetts teachers’ retirement board for the period of 1983 to 2000. This purchase will determine his superannuation retirement allowance. The purchase will not affect any other retirement benefits Thomas Struthers may be entitled to. Before his retirement allowance becomes effective, he must pay into the annuity savings fund of the Massachusetts teachers’ retirement system.
