Massachusetts H2949 allows the Massachusetts Port Authority to improve retirement group classification for law enforcement employees.

Massachusetts H2949 amends the General Laws to give the Massachusetts Port Authority the option to enhance the retirement group classification for law enforcement employees in the Massachusetts Port Authority Retirement System. This change can be made by a majority vote of the authority's governing board. The bill explicitly states that it does not permit the reduction of retirement benefits for any group of public employees.
