Massachusetts H2857 amends compensation for court officers injured in service of the state.

Massachusetts H2857 amends the General Laws to change compensation for court officers injured in service of the state. It adds a sentence to section 58 of chapter 30, making the office liable for costs exceeding compensation paid to replace an injured officer. It also adds a paragraph stating that anyone who intentionally or negligently injures a court officer granted leave without loss of pay and paid compensation is liable for those costs.
