Massachusetts H2799 amends Section 9E of Chapter 32B of the General Laws to ensure that local retirees are not subject to increased insurance premium contributions if their governmental unit approves an AME. This protection applies to retirees who are already paying premiums at the time of the AME approval. The changes will take effect on January 1, 2026.
