The bill authorizes the Massachusetts Teachers' Retirement System to credit Diane Galanti with specific creditable service benefits. This crediting is for the period from December 12, 1988, to June 30, 1999, inclusive, to determine her superannuation retirement allowance. Before her retirement allowance becomes effective, she must pay into the annuity savings fund of the retirement system an amount equal to what would have been withheld from her compensation for the previous service, plus buyback interest.
