Relative to public health volunteer responders

Establishes a registry for public health volunteer responders in Massachusetts.

The bill amends Chapter 111 of the general laws to create a registry for volunteer personnel who can provide health and medical services. The Department of Public Health will manage this registry, setting membership requirements and establishing a process for identifying and credentialing volunteers. The commissioner can activate volunteers during emergencies or when local resources are exhausted. Activated volunteers are considered state employees for certain legal protections and benefits.
