Establishes a career pathway program to support entry-level long-term care workers in becoming licensed practical nurses or registered nurses.
The bill amends Section 179 of Chapter 77 of the Acts of 2023 to create a career pathway program. This program will provide financial assistance to aides, home health aides, homemakers, and other entry-level workers in long-term care facilities, enabling them to become licensed practical nurses or registered nurses. Students from the commonwealth enrolled in a public community college or a Practical Nursing Program at a Career/Vocational institution are eligible for this support.
