Studying the feasibility of transferring oversight of memory care units from the Department of Elder Affairs to the Department of Public Health.

This bill defines a "memory care unit" as an assisted living facility or unit focusing on Alzheimer's Disease, Dementia, and other memory loss conditions. It instructs the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to study the feasibility of transferring oversight of all such units from the Department of Elder Affairs.
