Relative to improving mental health care through innovation

Establishes a program to improve mental health care through innovation in Massachusetts.

The bill authorizes the Department of Mental Health to create a program for the treatment and support of people with mental illness and brain-based disorders. It establishes a Mental Health and Innovation Fund to support mental health and innovation projects. The fund will receive revenue from appropriations, gifts, grants, private contributions, and investment income. The fund will also provide grants to state agencies, programs, and institutions to pilot cutting-edge technology for mental healthcare.
