Massachusetts H2214 mandates the Department of Public Health to annually report on substance abuse evaluations and opioid overdose treatment.

Massachusetts H2214 amends the General Laws to require the Department of Public Health to collect data on the frequency and location of substance abuse evaluations. This data includes the number of individuals who received an evaluation and returned to an acute care facility for opioid overdose treatment within the same year. The department must submit this report to specified committees and legislative bodies by January 1 each year.
