Ensures quality mental health services in Massachusetts state correctional facilities by placing supervision over these services under the.

The bill amends Massachusetts law to place supervision of mental health services in state correctional facilities under the commissioner of mental health. This includes reviewing and approving contracts for these services and establishing minimum standards. The commissioner must audit each facility at least twice a year to ensure compliance with these standards. The commissioner's oversight extends to all mental health professionals working in these facilities.
