Massachusetts H2164 amends Chapter 149 of the General Laws to include employees of nonprofit institutions of higher education in the definition of those engaged in agricultural work. It also grants immunity to such institutions from civil liability for claims alleging wage payment violations, effective from July 1, 2024.
