The bill sets a minimum wage for employees of airline catering companies that hold agreements with the Massachusetts Port Authority and perform work on Logan airport property or off-site. These employees will be paid the same hourly wage as other service workers, including wheelchair assistants, skycaps, ticket agents, janitorial staff, and aircraft cleaning and baggage handlers. The change in hourly wage necessary to effectuate this requirement must take effect within 30 days of the bill's enactment.
