Massachusetts H2128 amends the state's General Laws to provide a defense for employers against liability for overtime and Sunday work violations. Employers can avoid punishment if they can prove they acted in good faith based on a written opinion letter from the relevant department or agency. This defense applies even if the administrative interpretation is later modified or deemed invalid. The changes apply to all causes of action accruing before, on, or after the date of enactment.
