Massachusetts H2095 amends Chapter 149 of the General Laws to void and unenforceable any non-disclosure agreements in settlement agreements that waive employee rights related to discrimination, non-payment of wages or benefits, retaliation, harassment, or violation of public policy in employment. This act applies to all settlement agreements entered into after its effective date. Employers cannot take retaliatory actions against employees who refuse to enter such agreements. Violators of this act are liable for reasonable attorney’s fees and costs.
