The bill mandates that law enforcement agencies notify victims when a temporary or permanent harassment prevention order has been successfully served, has not been served within 12 hours of receipt from the court, and every 24 hours thereafter until service is complete or the court orders otherwise, including the effect of non-service on the order’s validity. It also requires notification if the order has expired or otherwise become ineffective.
