Introduced·2/27/25
Introduced Text

Massachusetts H2020 amends rental protections for elderly, disabled, and low-to-middle income tenants.

Massachusetts H2020 amends the General Laws to enhance rental protections for elderly, disabled, and low-to-middle income tenants. It defines "tenant" as someone aged 65 or older, a person with a disability, or someone with income at or below 80% of the area median income. The bill allows tenants to terminate their rental agreement or tenancy with written notification to the property owner if they are accepted for admission to specific housing types.
