Allows small landlords to be represented by officers or managers in housing court.
This bill amends Massachusetts law to allow limited liability companies that own and lease 10 or fewer residential units to be represented by their officers or managers in housing court, regardless of whether these individuals are licensed attorneys. Separate companies sharing officers or managers are considered a single entity for the purpose of counting properties.
