Extends the statute of limitations for incest in Massachusetts.
The bill amends Section 63 of Chapter 277 to extend the statute of limitations for incest. If the victim is under 16 at the time of the crime, the limitation period does not start until the victim reaches 16 or the crime is reported to law enforcement, whichever comes first. If the victim is under 18 for certain incest offenses, the period does not start until the victim reaches 18 or the crime is reported, whichever comes first.
