Amends the statute of limitations for civil rights actions and criminal prosecutions for sexual assault and rape of a child.
This bill amends the statute of limitations for civil rights actions and criminal prosecutions for sexual assault and rape of a child. It removes the previous statute of limitations, allowing such actions to be filed at any time after the offense, provided the victim was under 18 years old at the time of the offense. The bill also specifies that actions under Title IX for sexual assault or abuse are governed by the provisions of G.L. c. 260, section 4C½.
