Massachusetts H1729 amends domestic violence shelter notification requirements for law enforcement officers.

Massachusetts H1729 amends Section 6 of Chapter 209A of the General Laws to require law enforcement officers to inform individuals of domestic violence shelters serving their municipality. This applies when officers are executing a warrant or order of protection. If the individual's native language is not English, the information must be provided in their native language through translation services.
