Massachusetts H1582 amends fees for service of civil process, setting new rates for summons, subpoenas, and divorce complaints.

Massachusetts H1582 modifies the fees for service of civil process in the state. It sets a new fee of $30 for each defendant for service of an original summons, trustee process, subpoena, or scire facias, either by reading it or by leaving a copy. For service of an original summons and complaint for divorce or any other service required to be served in hand, the fee is set at $45 for each defendant. This bill aims to update the fee structure for civil process services in Massachusetts.
