The bill establishes a Massachusetts center for housing cooperatives within the executive office of housing and livable communities. The center will focus on expanding and enhancing cooperative resident ownership, preserving existing cooperatively owned properties, and promoting the benefits of cooperative housing. The center will be funded by a $100,000,000 appropriation in fiscal year 2026 and will accept gifts or grants to further its mission.
