Introduced·2/27/25
Introduced Text

Establishes an executive office of equity to advance health equity in Massachusetts.

The bill establishes an executive office of equity to lead efforts toward equity, diversity, and inclusion across state government. It creates a special commission to address longstanding health inequities and develop health equity benchmarks. The commission will identify high-priority areas of health inequities, draft benchmarks, and recommend strategies to improve equity. The bill also establishes a Health Equity Zone Trust Fund to invest in communities systematically oppressed and where decades of disinvestment have created inequitable health outcomes.
