The bill establishes a primary care workforce development and loan forgiveness grant program at community health centers to enhance recruitment and retention of primary care physicians and other clinicians. The program prioritizes a culturally, ethnically, and linguistically diverse workforce. Eligible participants must work in a community health center, have outstanding educational debt, not participate in any other loan repayment program, and commit to a contract with the commonwealth for at least four years.
