Massachusetts H1354 amends the Health Safety Net Trust Fund by imposing a supplemental assessment on non-Medicaid managed care organizations to cover projected shortfalls. The executive office will estimate the shortfall and allocate 50 percent of it to non-Medicaid managed care organizations. These organizations will pay the assessment monthly to the Health Safety Net Trust Fund. The bill also doubles the annual transfer amount from the General Fund to the Health Safety Net Trust Fund, from $30,000,000 to $60,000,000.
