The bill establishes a Massachusetts center for housing cooperatives within the Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation (CEDAC) to promote housing cooperatives for low to moderate income people. The center will focus on expanding and enhancing cooperative resident ownership, preserving existing cooperatively owned properties, and increasing the number of such properties. It will also conduct education and outreach efforts, research and evaluate cooperative housing ownership, and showcase cooperative housing initiatives.
