Massachusetts H117 regulates hemp and hemp products, defining hemp and hemp products, and setting rules for cultivation, processing, and sale.
Massachusetts H117 amends existing laws to regulate hemp and hemp products within the Commonwealth. The bill defines "hemp" as the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, with a THC concentration percentage that does not exceed the limit set by federal law. Hemp is considered an agricultural commodity and can be cultivated and manufactured in other states under a USDA approved hemp program or produced lawfully under the laws of another state, tribe, or country.
