Allows law enforcement to request hospital access to notify patients of restricted person status.
This bill amends Maine law to allow law enforcement agencies to request hospital access to patients for notifying them of restricted person status. Hospitals must provide access at a clinically appropriate time, considering the patient's medical condition. The hospital may disclose the patient's status to facilitate this notification, regardless of patient consent.
