Clarifies licensing jurisdiction for manufactured housing communities in Maine.
This bill amends Maine law to clarify the jurisdiction for licensing manufactured housing communities. It requires municipalities to accept a license issued by the Manufactured Housing Board as evidence that a community meets all requirements to operate. The bill prohibits municipalities from charging additional fees for a manufactured housing community to operate. It also mandates that manufactured housing and modular homes meeting state construction standards must be allowed in all zones where other single-family homes are allowed.
