Maine LD941 mandates employers with one or more employees to disclose wage ranges in job postings.
Maine LD941 enacts a requirement for employers with one or more employees to include a wage range in any job posting for a position in the state. The wage range must reflect the employer's good faith estimate of the compensation they expect to pay. This range is advisory and not binding, allowing employers to pay outside the range based on factors like market conditions or employee experience. The Department of Labor is tasked with enforcing this requirement, with penalties of up to $500 for violations.
