This bill increases the maximum permissible size of recreational campfires in Maine.

This bill amends the Maine Revised Statutes to increase the maximum permissible size of recreational campfires. Specifically, it changes the diameter limit from feet to inches at the base of the fire and adjusts the height limit accordingly. This change applies to recreational campfires not located at licensed camping facilities and also includes campfires kindled on snow or frozen bodies of water.
