Maine LD925 mandates the Secretary of State to design and issue a commemorative plate for the U.S. Semiquincentennial, to be displayed from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The plate, which can cover the front registration plate on a motor vehicle, will be sold for $25. Nine dollars will cover production and issuance costs, while the remaining $16 will go to the Maine State Cultural Affairs Council. The plate may not be sold or displayed outside the specified period.
