Maine LD913 amends the law to regulate the resale of tickets, prohibiting sellers from restricting ticket transfers to third parties.
Maine LD913 amends the law to regulate the resale of tickets for entertainment events. It prohibits sellers from imposing conditions that restrict the purchaser from transferring the ticket to a third party, with or without consideration. If a ticketing system does not allow for transferability, sellers must offer an alternative transferable ticket option without an added fee. The bill also prevents sellers from denying admission to an event solely because a ticket has been resold.
