Expands property tax relief for veterans and their surviving family members in Maine.

This bill expands property tax relief for veterans and their surviving family members in Maine. It removes the requirement for veterans to have served during a federally recognized war period to qualify for benefits. Veterans now receive an exemption of up to $5,000 of the just value of their property. Veterans aged 65 or older receive an exemption of up to $6,000. Additionally, veterans with a service-connected disability rating receive exemptions ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 based on their disability rating.
