Tpdf Text

Maine LD803 mandates the Department of Education to notify superintendents of certification violations and requires action plans to resolve them.

Maine LD803 requires the Department of Education to notify superintendents of certification violations within days of learning about them. Superintendents must develop and notify the department of an action plan to resolve the violation and provide updates every days until it is resolved. If the superintendent fails to act, the department must notify the school board, which then must develop an action plan. The department monitors these plans.
