Maine LD735 repeals provisions allowing the Department of Environmental Protection to consider a permit for an offshore wind terminal on Sears Island. It also prohibits land development on the island without a certification from an indigenous lands protection committee. The committee must ensure no sacred indigenous sites are affected.
