Prohibits copyright protection for works of the state government.
Prohibits the state from obtaining copyright protection for its works, except for merchandise sold by a department or agency. This prohibition does not apply to copyrights transferred to the state by assignment, bequest, or otherwise, or to works of the state existing prior to the effective date of this legislation.
