Maine LD718 amends absentee ballot procedures by requiring municipal clerks to issue ballots only to residents of that municipality. It allows voters to designate an immediate family member or a third person, if registered to vote in that municipality, to deliver the ballot. The bill also mandates that clerks cannot mark the return envelope to indicate the voter's political party. Additionally, it repeals the provisions allowing for ongoing absentee voter status.
